    Meet in front of Nagatoro Station
  2. Iwadatami Street
    Between Chichibu Railway's Nagatoro Station and the famous "Nagatoro Iwadatami," you'll find souvenir shops and eateries where you can enjoy local specialties.
  3. Iwadatami
    This unique landform, created by the erosion of the Arakawa River, features flat rocks spread out like tatami mats, hence the name "Iwadatami." It is designated as a scenic natural monument of Nagatoro, where you can enjoy the sound of the clear stream and the refreshing breeze.
  4. Shijuhachi Numa (Forty-Eight Ponds)
    On top of the Nagatoro Iwadatami, there are small ponds known as "Shijuhachi Numa." The water's edge is lush with plants, and you might spot small fish.
  5. Chichibu Sekiheki (Red Cliff)
    The cliff formed along the fault line where the Arakawa River flows is called "Chichibu Sekiheki," named after a famous site in China.
  6. Potholes
    On the rock surface, there are large potholes. These were formed when hard rocks were trapped in depressions on the riverbed of the Arakawa River in the past. The strong currents caused the rocks to spin, gradually eroding the rock surface.
  7. Kotaki no Se
    About 500 meters upstream from Iwadatami is "Kotaki no Se," known as a rapid spot for river boating and a popular photography location.
  8. Tora Iwa (Tiger Rock)
    It is named for its striped pattern that resembles tiger fur. Tiger fur pattern shining on the bank of Arakawa River.
