    Meet-up at Hakone Visitor Center
  2. Warm-Up Exercises
    The staff will start with a brief lecture and some light stretching exercises. Once you're ready, head out for the trekking tour!
  3. ◆◇About the Tour◇◆
    - Travel distance: Approximately 22km
    - Elevation change: Approximately 60m
    - Duration: Approximately 5 hours

    This tour offers for confident in physical strength. There are sections that require walking or carrying mountain bikes for about 2 to 3 km. Enjoy spectacular views around Lake Ashi.
  4. Tea Time Break
    The guide will bring tea and small snacks. Let's refresh both our minds and bodies in the forest!
  5. Arrived at the Hakone Visitor Center
    Once you arrive at the starting point, the tour will be concluded. If you wish, our staff can guide you to a day-use hot spring.

    *Please note that the bathing fee(JPY850) will be paid on the spot on the day.
    *The facility is unavailable on closure days.

    For those coming by car: Parking at the Ministry of the Environment Hakone Visitor Center (free, 40 spaces)

    - From Odawara direction: Continue straight on National Route 1 towards Numazu/Hakone, enter National Route 138 at the Miyanoshita intersection. Turn left at the Sengokuhara intersection and continue straight. (Approximately 60 minutes from Odawara city)
    - From Gotemba direction: Continue straight on National Route 138 towards Odawara/Hakone, turn right at the Sengokuhara intersection and continue straight. (Approximately 40 minutes from Gotemba city)

    For those coming by bus: Ministry of the Environment Hakone Visitor Center parking lot

    - From Odawara Station: Take the Hakone Tozan Bus "Kojiri/Togen-dai Line" from the East Exit Bus Terminal No. 4 (about 50 minutes). Get off at the "Shirayuri-dai" bus stop (2 minutes walk)
    - From Hakone-Yumoto Station: Take the Hakone Tozan Bus "Kojiri/Togen-dai Line" from Bus Stop No. 3 (about 40 minutes). Get off at the "Shirayuri-dai" bus stop (2 minutes walk)
    - From Gotemba Station: Take the Odakyu Hakone Express Bus "Hakone Togen-dai Line" from the Otome Exit. Get off at the "Shirayuri-dai" bus stop (2 minutes walk). Please note that all seats on the express bus are reserved, so please contact the bus company in advance.

  • Rental bikes are available for those who are 135cm tall or more. The staff will ask for your height at the time of reservation.
    *Children must be 120-130cm tall for rental bicycles.
    *This does not apply if you bring your own mountain bike.
  • Guests must be below 220 lbs (100 kg) to participate in this activity.
  • The staff kindly ask individuals who fit the following criteria to refrain from participating:
    - Those feeling unwell on the day of the activity
    - Pregnant individuals
    - Individuals under the influence of alcohol
    - Individuals who cannot follow the guide's - instructions

Additional notes

  • The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
  • The tour will be held in light rain, but in case of heavy rain, snowfall, or stormy weather, the staff will contact you around 19:00 the day before or between 7:00 and 8:00 on the day of the tour to cancel. If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, there will be no cancellation fee, but we cannot compensate for travel expenses to the meeting place (Hakone).

・Any cancellations made between 20:00 local time, 8 business days to 19:00 local time, 2 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
・Any cancellations made between 19:00 local time, 2 business days to 19:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
・Any cancellations made after 19:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
