What to expect
This workshop is designed to provide participants with the basic knowledge and principles of knife sharpening and, through practice, to master the basic skills necessary for sharpening kitchen knives for home use.
A knife is said to be a chef's most important kitchen tool. Elevate your kitchen skills and make Gordon Ramsay proud as you learn the tips and tricks to achieving a razor-sharp knife the Japanese way on this beginner-friendly experience.

- 11:00IntroductionLearn how to sharpen your home kitchen knives! The instructor will explain the workshop theme, the differences in shape between Japanese and Western knives, an overview of sharpening culture and its importance, and the principles of knife sharpening, followed by a demonstration.

- —Knife SharpeningParticipants will engage in a hands-on sharpening session with instructor support. They'll also learn whetstone maintenance. By the end, they'll see their dull knives become sharp.

「舟を編む」で宮崎あおいちゃんが、板前さんの役をやっていて、
夜、包丁を研ぐシーンがかっこよくて、憧れて参加しました。
友人は「なんかさ、『旅人に優しくした老婆が夜中にシャーシャーって音を立ててるのを旅人がのぞいたら、老婆が山姥になっていて・・・・』なんて昔話あったよね~~」って。。。(-_-;)
私は山姥じゃなく、宮崎あおいちゃんなのだ!!って思って研い… 友人と一緒に参加。

包丁も欲しくなります。丁寧に説明もしてもらえるので、勉強になります。
