    Meet at Umineko or Pick-Up from Accommodations
  2. 09:30
    Omija Road Park
    Set out for the Geta River.
  3. Geta River
    Start trekking on the pristine land of Iriomote Island, a World Natural Heritage site! As you traverse rocks and walk along the Geta River, you will come across the "Geta Waterfall," which boasts various expressions.
  4. 09:40
    Jungle Trek
    Venture further along a challenging path into the depths of the jungle. You may encounter rare creatures in the subtropical jungle. Experience the sound of water and the abundant vegetation.
  5. Waterfall Play
    Get drenched under a waterfall rich in negative ions, or try diving into it. Enjoy the stream to the fullest!
  6. Descent
    After playing in the waterfall, it's time to head back on the return route. Once back at the shop, enjoy a shower.

    Estimates: Climb is about 40 minutes, and the return takes about 30.

    We are a 3 minute walk from Uehara Pot.
    Just keep the ocean on your left!

    By car:
    Parking is available.
    Make your way to the Yamaneko Rental Car Western Area Service Station, we have parking there.

    About pick-up service:
    We offer pick-up service only for the Western Area of the island. If you are coming from the Eastern side, please use the local bus service. It is very convenient, since you can hop off the bus directly in front of our shop.

Additional notes

  • [For those participating in the afternoon course]
    Please board the 11:00 AM ferry from Ishigaki Island Remote Island Terminal to "Uehara Port on Iriomote Island." You will arrive at Uehara Port at 12:00 PM. The afternoon departure is scheduled for around 1:30 PM, so please have lunch at a nearby restaurant at the port and wait. We will pick you up at Uehara Port around 1:15 PM.
  • This tour is operated entirely in Japanese.
  • [Regarding transportation]
    We only provide transportation for those in the western area.
    Guests coming from the eastern area should use the public bus. It allows for free boarding and alighting, making it convenient to get on and off in front of our store.
  • We can store your belongings at our office. However, we cannot take responsibility for items brought onto the boat or during the tour, so please manage them yourself. A shower and changing room are available for use after the tour.
  • This tour is subject to change or cancellation due to the weather or ocean conditions on the day. Should we be unable to continue this course, a different snorkeling tour or sightseeing alternative plan can be offered.
  • If arriving from Ishigaki Terminal, please board the 08:30 Iriomote Ferry to Uehara Port. There are 2 ports on Iriomote, Uehara and Ohara. Please take care to land at the right one!
