    A sacred place of prayer where Iheya Island’s traditional event, the “Shinugu Festival,” is held. It is a site that symbolizes the island’s spiritual culture.
  4. Sugar factory
    A place where you can learn about the island’s traditional sugarcane industry. The simple scenery is also part of its charm.
  5. Tana Shrine
    A shrine that has long been worshipped on Iheya Island. Prayers to the local deities are deeply rooted in the community.
  6. Akashi Beach
    A peaceful beach with shallow waters and white sand stretching out before you. It offers a glimpse of Iheya’s original landscape.
  7. Amamado Shrine
    A mystical shrine linked to the Japanese myth of the “Ama-no-Iwato” legend. The area is filled with a solemn atmosphere.
  8. Nento Hiramatsu Pine Tree
    A giant Ryukyu pine designated as a National Natural Monument. Feel the impressive presence of this centuries-old tree!
  9. Kumaya (cave & cliff top)
